Yuzu is hands down my favorite ramen place. Why? The ramen is all organic using pasture-raised pork and beef, and there's no preservatives or MSG. The ramen is delicious and I always slurp up every last drop.

I love noodle soups and Asian food in general, but sadly, I sometimes get awful headaches after eating Asian restaurant food (maybe 25% of the time), with Pho, Ramen, and Chinese/Vietnamese food seemingly the worst offenders. I'm not sure what is the cause of it - MSG gives me really dry mouth even though I love the umami flavor. I think it might have something to do with the preservatives which are often used in the ingredients.

At any rate, I never get dry mouth or headaches after eating at Yuzu, and the Tonkotsu ramen is every bit as tasty and delicious as the other top ramen spots, including Ippuduo, Orenchi, and Santouka. (I eat at all the ramen spots - headaches be damned!) From an ingredient-quality standpoint, Yuzu is probably comparable to Oakland's Ramen Shop (which also is organic and never gives me a headache), but Yuzu's ramen is a bit tastier.

The downsides are that the prices are very expensive compared to other ramen shops, but the quality of the ingredients is much higher, so I'm happy to pay for it. (Not getting a headache or having dry mouth is totally worth the extra few bucks).

I usually get a side of crispy tebasaki and glass of kombucha to wash it all down. Delicious!

I'm done with ramen for sure outside of San Francisco.  Even sf is borderline.  Maybe I just don't like ramen.

This is my second time.  Asked for extra firm again, order taker said not sure if they can do that?  Wtf?  I said they can.  Take it out of the water earlier.  Every ramen shop is possible with some even asking you how you like the texture of the noodles.  Noodle texture was ok surprisingly this time.

Come on, real Japanese owners, train your staff.  Gyu is beef not pronounced "guy".  I had the gyukotsu, a tablespoon of ground beef, half a medium well egg, a sprinkle of arugula, and the smallest amount of noodles ever.  Didn't notice anything special about the black pepper ramen noodles.  I literally can take two big bites and be gone with all noodles, for $16 highway robbery.  Food cost of $2.  Broth was salty.

Again premium best rice is usually served at Japanese noodles shops.  This was a dry and sad side of steamed rice.  Repeated several times I noticed udon on the website as additional noodles on the side, udon.  Received more ramen noodles, order taker said we only have this noodle now, I said I asked you and explain where I got udon, so you not know what I meant?

Lemonade no ice, was filled 3/4 if the way, how cheap.

$50 for me and my daughter.  We could have got yamachan from nijiya, a load of ikura, some mentaiko and cook our premium koshihikari rice at home for under $20 and be way happier as we always do it at home.

Ok, now I;m torn. I love Uchiwa (I know some Yelpers don't and I don't understand why). I just had a miso ramen here at Yuzu with their homemade noodles and loved it too! Good bite with the noodles, creamy broth, tender slices of char sui, nicely soft boiled egg. Great job Yuzu! Pricey, as all ramen seems to be around San Rafael.

I was excited to see Henhouse Stoked on tap, one of my faves. I enjoy smaller pours which I can get here. Not sure all the servers know much about the beers on tap but they will give tastes.

This is my favorite ramen place in Marin! Not only is the food delicious, the staff is what really makes it a great experience. They're so, SO kind and attentive! I've never felt so taken care of, even at fine dining restaurants.
What I love about the food is that the noodles are homemade, the ingredients are all sourced locally and from healthy places (grass-fed, organic, etc) and it's just so nice to eat delicious food that's ethically and healthily sourced. Thank you for your good work, great food, and amazing service!

The ingredients they use here are the absolute best you will ever find. Everything about this place is amazing. The Poke Bowl is delectable and fresh and the Ramen is as good as you will ever find. I come here at least twice a week, and when I found out they maybe closing I had to write this review to hopefully open peoples eyes to the amazing restaurant they have at their disposal!
